On March 20th, 2019 at 1945hrs, emergency personnel were dispatched to 950 West Pine Street in Coal Township, Northumberland County, PA for a reported house fire.
Within minutes, a 2nd and 3rd alarm assignment was requested for a well-involved house fire.
The owners of the home, a young married couple and their two children, a boy and girl, escaped from the blaze and were okay, said Coal Township officer Cody Rebuck, at the scene.
Engine 111 was able to stretch a 2-1/2″ and two additional 1-3/4″ hand lines to knock down a majority of the fire down prior to the second arriving engine. As additional apparatus arrived on the scene, personnel were assigned to assist with fire suppression, ventilation, and overhaul.
No word on the cause of the fire, however, the state police fire marshal was requested to investigate.
