On March 27th, 2019 at 1945hrs, emergency personnel were dispatched to 153 Route 304 in Union Township, Union County, PA (Winfield) for a reported house fire.
First arriving units found heavy fire showing from the second floor on side C (rear) of the structure.
Upon Company 6’s arrival, the crew immediately stretched a line to make a quick hit on the fire. Rescue 2 arrived just behind Company 6 and was ordered to pull a back up line off of Engine 6.
As additional crews arrived, they were assigned to assist with fire attack, ventilation, and extensive overhaul. Crews from 7 different companies rotated in and out of the structure until the fire was out.
Union Township Assistant Fire Chief Dave Anderson marked the fire under control around 2030hrs. Assisting Union Township Fire Company were crews from Kratzerville, Hummels Wharf, New Berlin, Northumberland, Shamokin Dam, and William Cameron Engine Company.
